it is day 2 of me rerolling on nikke (and avoiding work at work like a fool)
the other thing i've been doing besides rerolling on nikke (i still don't understand why i'm putting myself through this hell tbh...) is reading manga. well i do that normally but i've been challenging myself to read works in japanese whenever i can. basically, if every kanji has furigana on it...i'll try to read the japanese version if i can get my hands on a copy of the volume or chapters.
honestly when i first tried this, i was surprised at how much i could understand even though i don't know what most of the kanji means. my first volumes of full japanese manga were the first 3 volumes of ちはやふる and i managed to finish them faster than expected since i was too lazy didn't bother looking up most of the words i didn't understand. i mean i barely even do that for english unless it bothers me that much now that i think about it...
btw i am on reroll no. 12 on nikke (i have been keeping track
so far i've been keeping track of all the anime and manga i've been consuming fully in japanese (not translated and no subtitles) on the ol' MAL. i actually deleted my old lists to do this and now i have a use for this site...i didn't think i would track manga on there too but it seemed convinient (also LNs..

i opened a page of a LN i didn't start yet because it was annoying for me to look up how to read some kanji nearly every other character and was surprised i could read a couple lines without the furigana, so i know this reading manga with furigana even though i don't know what the kanji means is working sort of (and i could get the gist of the meaning of the sentence too since it was a typical slice of life romance story...) so it's nice that i can see this improvement even if it's small (｀・ω・´)」
...damn some work came in that i can't avoid now so i guess i'll actually do some work at work. i need a new job......(saying this for the 9999th time
